ICW (Intracoastal Waterway) Near shore (inside of 20 miles) Offshore (20 to 35 miles off)
Just to let everyone know the winter/spring bite is on. We have been catching some very good reds and trout so far and the flounder and pompano are showing early this year. The offshore bite has been outstanding as well with lots of BIG Red Snapper and Grouper (but, unfortunately the season is closed so it's all catch and release for these), good black sea bass, trigger fish and vermillion snapper. To catch keeper fish plan on a 6-8 hour trip this time of year, 4 hour trips offshore are just about guaranteed to be catch and release (small fish and closed season fish). The Amberjack season opened on 01March so we are good to go there. The kings, cobia are in the 100' depths and a few wahoo and dolphin (mahi-mahi) are in the 120-160' range (10hr trip).
