kids are kings (and queens) ICW (Intracoastal Waterway)
Report:
We could have fished offshore today but had a small one on his first real fishing trip and elected to fish the inlet for whiting and just a couple of miles offshore for weakfish (yellowmouth trout). The bite on the near shore art. reefs has really been off this winter due to cold water was another reason for staying arround the inlet. I started at the inlet fishing for whiting and after 15-20 we went to the pier concrete for yellowmouth trout. They were running small today and after catching only a couple in the 2-3# range we came back inside and finished up with a few more whiting. Staying on fish is a must when introducing a young angler, they don't have to be big just lots of them. This summer we'll put him on some kings and 'cuda's to get him hooked on light tackle trolling. Till next trip, Capt. Guy Sorry about the picture messup, I'm still learning.
