I ran down to Palm Coast today for a group trip with the people that make and market the Larson Boat Line. This was the first time in a long time that I have fished that far South in the ICW but I was in good company. All 4 boats that went on this trip were in the same boat (pun intended). We all caught fish so I would say it was a good group venture. I caught ladyfish, bluefish and jack cravelle, Hot Fun had the same, Rod Bender had a couple of trout and a flounder and Scratch Off had sheepshead and lost a good red boatside. The run down (28 miles) was a dream with the new motor, (without pushing) I cruised 21 to 30 knots changing the RPM every 10 minutes for break in, I can't run flat out yet to check the top end because of the breakin period. The run South was nice with a 5 to 10 knot tail wind and no traffic in the ICW, the run back home in the afternoon was just the opposite, 20 to 30 +G out of the NE and a lot of big (50 to 100') boats with 3-6' wakes that had to be passed. It was real and it was fun but I'm not sure it was real fun. The wind is supposed to drop out this week, maybe I'll get offshore. No fish pictures this trip. 'Till then, Capt. Guy
