We ran the first offshore trip with the new motor today and the water is still cold, 66.4 degrees 15 miles out. I was hoping to be able to troll for kings but I guess the warm water,68+, is still too far out to get there on a 4 hour trip. We bottom fished several artificial reef's and ended with one 22" red snapper, a couple of seabass, some triggerfish and one really nice jolthead porgy, about 3 pounds. There were also a few throw back gag grouper, red snapper and 15-20 small sharks. The sharks are a sure sign that the water is still to cold for live baiting kings. I've got to get another digital camera tomorrow so there are no pictures today. Until next trip: Capt. Guy
not this trip but a good one
