Right tide, wind started right and nice weather. We started on the jetty with an outgoing tide and mud minnows (no live shrimp in St. A until later in day) and had a couple of fish on that were probably nice reds as that is what has been biting around the jetty lately but my hooks seem to be made by Goodyear today. After about an hour and three other spots known to be holding reds and trout the shrimp man from the West coast shows and we go back in for live shrimp. What a difference live shrimp can make. We went back into Indian Creek, got anchored on an oyster bar and right away we were into the reds. We ended with 14 reds, one flounder, two stingrays, a couple of catfish (yuck) and a toad fish. I put the "other" species in for the kids, we had a trash can slam. Slow start but a great finish and the kids had a ball. One red was a keeper, the others were 16 to 17 1/2 inches, and the flounder was short. It's supposed to BLOW this weekend AGAIN so I'll probably not get to fish, but thats April for you. Until next trip, Capt. Guy
