An offshore trip that wasn't. We made it out to 9 mile north and decided that discretion is the better part of valor. By the time we got out there it was blowing 15-18 with gusts to over 20 out of the West and the seas were building to 4 feet with no backs. Even turning arround there it took a while to get back in to fish the ICW. We went back into the marina and changed tackle to light spinning and pick up some shrimp. The jack cravelle and ladyfish were fired up and I really don't know how many we caught in the creeks and along the jetty. Thrown in with the ladyfish and jacks were pompano, speckled trout, redfish and bluefish. It was a lot of fun even with only a few fish to clean at the dock. Pictures will follow. Until next trip: Capt. Guy
