kids are kings (and queens) Near shore (inside of 20 miles)
Scheduled as a river trip we decided to fish offshore due to the river being about 90 degrees and no live bait being in St.Augustine. I had a six year old on board and was a little leary but decided to see if he had his sea legs yet. He did in spades, what a trooper. The seas were not quite ideal for a small fry being 2-3' but he enjoyed the ride and the bait catching at PW. We decided to fish right there after catching a couple dozen scaled sardines. I moved a little way from the main bait pods and found a school of kings that were really hungry. Between 8:15 and 9:55 we caught 8 whole kings and one cuda without getting even one chopped by a big 'cuda. That was our limit on kings and we moved over the concrete to catch 'cudas and finish out the morning. Very good trip and the little guy caught 3 of the kings all by himself. That's what this is really all about. Without the participation of the young ones there will be no sport fishing in the future. It looks like I have a couple of days off coming up. Book a trip and we'll try to catch you a memory or two. 'Till next trip, Capt. Guy
