kids are kings (and queens) ICW (Intracoastal Waterway) Near shore (inside of 20 miles) 35 miles and further billfish
The report for May will be short. I ran over a piece of mono line in the ICW and wiped out the lower unit on the new motor. Parts on order since the 18th, should be in and up and running by the 7th of June. Yamaha doesn't stock these lower units for the 250 four strokes so it had to come from Japan. Lost a lot of trips. I fished 11 of the first 18 days on the MisStress (mostly in the ICW) and caught some nice flounder to 6.5#s along with the normal reds and trout. On the offshore scene, the kings were just showing in force when the mono got me and the snapper were biting on the inshore art. reefs. The Spanish Mackeral were here in force the first two weeks and we caught limit (15 per person) on several trips when the reds/trout and flounder wouldn't cooperate.
The boat will be back operational and the 8th of June. My Bahamas trip was cut short this year and I'm back and running now (it's June the 14th).
I don't normally put prices on the WEB but I have had several requests, so here goes (prices subject to change up or down with the price of fuel) ICW 4 hr $350, 6hr $400/ OFFSHORE 4hr $400, 6hr $450, 8hr $525 and 10hr $700. Custom trips, night trips and cruises are available, prices vary with time and fuel used. All prices are for 4 passengers and are inclusive of license, bait and tackle. All you have to bring is your food and beverage and a cooler for fish fillets. I will take up to 6 in the ICW and offshore for an additional $50 per person, 3 must be kids or small frame adults under 120#s.
