The MisStress is a custom 25' Aquasport, powered by a Yamaha 250HP Four Stroke with Garmin Fish Finder, Garmin GPS , ICOM Ship to Shore Radio and all required US COAST GUARD Safety Equipment. MisStress also has a small Cuddy Cabin with a port-a-potty for your privacy and convenience. "I specialize in teaching young anglers to fish as well as putting experienced anglers ON the fish."

I fish the ICW (Intra Coastal Waterway) and it's feeder creeks for redfish, trout, flounder, black drum and sportfish such as jack cravalle bluefish and lady fish.

I, also, troll near shore and offshore waters (from the beach to 35 miles out) for king mackerel, tarpon, sharks, cobia, barracuda, sailfish and mahi-mahi or bottom fish (on request) for several snapper species (including American Red Snapper, season closed until 02June'10), several grouper species season closed until 01may'10)and black seabass (quite possibly the best eating fish in the world).

I always have a CASH DISCOUNT available on all trips, just ask for it. Call for details.

All licenses, tackle, bait and ice for your catch are provided as well as fish cleaning at the end of the day. Prices are based on four passengers, arrangements can be made for up to two additional at $50.00 per person (weight restrictions apply for over four passengers). I also do echo/birdwatching tours for up to 6 passengers.

Report:

It's been a busy early summer so far. The fishing, both inshore and offshore as been very good to outstanding.

Inshore the reds, drum and a few trout have been biting consistantly on live and dead shrimp while the flounder have yet to make a good run. For a couple of weeks in early May the bluefish and ladyfish were almost a nusance there were so many of them. We were going through 12 dozen live shrimp on a 4 hour trip and it was hard to get a bait through them to get to the trout and reds. Now, 4 Jun, the reds and drum are biting well on any tide change with the better trout bite on the incoming tide.

Offshore over the last couple of weeks the amberjacks and cobia really made a showing with limits of both common on every trip. Now, 4 Jun, the king mackeral are here in force with the AJ's and Cob's backing off a little. We still can't keep Red Snapper until approx 4 Dec as the govm't thinks there are not enough of them so it's catch and release on them. We can keep all other types of snapper as well as grouper, trigger fish and black seabass. So bottom fishing is not shut down entirely (the trolling is better this time of year anyway). Saw a sailfish free jumping yesterday so there are some of those arround, we were in 75 feet of water about 14 miles offshore also had one kingfish over 25 pounds and lost another large one to the 'cuda's that was just as big or maybe a little bigger.

The Gulf oil spill is not effecting us yet though it seems all the bottlenose dolphin in the world are over here now. They are fun to watch but sometimes when they show up the bite slow down so we just move to another spot.
