              THE BITE IS ON!!!!!!

The summer bite has started with the king mackeral making a slow showing but the amberjack and cobia are making up for it. The water temp is in the mid 70's and the speckled trout and reds are really fired up in the ICW with some nice flounder starting to show as well. The snapper and grouper bite is very good in the deeper offshore waters at this time. June is here and the cobia have made their appearance on the local artificial reefs and the beach for some very interesting sight casting and trolling. The king mackeral and amberjack are within range of 4 and 6 hour trips along with a smattering of mahi, and the kings should bite through August into September. From June into July the ICW (river) will be very good to outstanding for redfish, especially arround the new and full moon period.

I have a cash discount price available on all 4 and 6 hour trips. Call for details.

Kids are the future; Teach them to fish with Capt. Guy aboard the MisStress. The MisStress is a custom 25' Aquasport, powered by a Yamaha 250HP Four Stroke with Raytheon Fish Finder, Garmin GPS , ICOM Ship to Shore Radio and all required US COAST GUARD Safety Equipment. MisStress also has a small Cuddy Cabin with a port-a-potty for your privacy and convenience. Capt. Guy has 19 years local experience in St. Augustine waters and 39 years experience world wide.

"I specialize in teaching young anglers to fish as well as putting experienced anglers ON the fish." We fish the ICW (Intra Coastal Waterway) and it's feeder creeks for redfish, trout, flounder, drum and sportfish such as jack cravalle and lady fish. We troll near shore and offshore waters (from the beach to 35 miles out) for king mackerel, tarpon, sharks, cobia, barracuda, sailfish and mahi-mahi or bottom fish (on request) for several snapper species (including American Red Snapper), several grouper species and black seabass (quite possibly the best eating fish in the world).

All licenses, tackle, bait and ice for your catch are provided as well as fish cleaning at the end of the day. Prices are based on four passengers, arrangements can be made for up to two additional at $50.00 per person (weight restrictions apply for over four passengers).

Come on, take a fishing charter with Capt. Guy aboard the MisStress and let us HOOK YOU UP to the fish of your dreams.

Report:

Well, it's the 5th of May and the fising is really fireing up. In ICW (river) we are catching a lot of Trout, Reds, Whiting, Blues and, in the last few days, the Flounder have started to make there apperance along with the mullet. In the near shore waters (from the beach out to 20 miles) the Cobia, Bonito and King Mackeral have migrated up as well as a few African Pompano in the deeper water and Spanish Mackeral along the beaches. We've even been catching good numbers of Spanish in the inlet. For the deep offshore waters (beyond 20 miles) the bottom bite is nothing short of outstanding, with limit catches of Vermilion Snapper and Pink Porgy, and very good catches (near limit) of Red Snapper and Gag Grouper with a few BIG Amberjack thrown in. As for trolling the deeper water, there are King Mackeral, Bonito and 'Cuda's along with the very reel possibility of Mahi-Mahi and a Sailfish as May wears into June. The deep water trips are really WEATHER dependent, I'd rather have you upset about not taking you than have you hurt.

I always put your SAFETY above everything else.

Let's go Fishing and put a BIG one in the boat for YOU!!!!
